Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic Therapy can benefit many individuals working through different stages of rehabilitation. Whether you are seeking a low impact activity to manage arthritis symptoms, improve your walking or running tolerance (earlier than you are able to on land), or work on more advanced exercises that aren’t yet tolerable on land, aquatic therapy can help. Exercising in water reduces joint load and impact, improves deep core and postural muscle activation, and provides an alternative way to work on muscle strengthening (against water resistance) in a safe environment. These sessions aim to progress you further in your rehab journey, retrain and correct movement patterns, and provide exercises and drills that you can work on independently in a private or community center pool.
